Baked asparagus is all done in 20 minutes and has the perfect crisp-tender texture. The addition of melted cheese and crispy crumbs on top of the baked asparagus takes it over the top!
Preheat oven to 450°F (220°C). Coat a rimmed baking sheet with some non-stick spray or line with parchment paper.
Add the asparagus spears to the baking sheet and shake until they're all in an even layer.
Oil garlic mix: In a small bowl combine the oil, garlic, salt, pepper, then drizzle the asparagus with this mixture. Toss until evenly coated.
Bake for about 10 minutes or until the asparagus just begins to get tender. This might take more or less time depending on the thickness of the asparagus spears.
Sprinkle with the cheese, then with the crushed Ritz Cookie crumbs, and broil until the cheese is melted and the crumbs are crispy. Serve immediately with wedges of lemon.
