The best way to make Chicken wings to is fry them in the air fryer. All the crispiness, all the flavor, without the calories or grease.
Thaw the chicken wings if they're frozen. Cut the wings into sections (optional), discarding the tips (optional) and separating the wing between the drumette and the wingette.
Preheat air fryer to 400F.
Season: Thoroughly pat with a paper towel & add to a large bowl or a gallon-sized ziplock bag (helps with cleanup). Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp baking powder & toss to coat evenly. Now drizzle with 2 Tbsp of oil and sprinkle with 3/4 tsp of kosher salt, 1/4 tsp of black pepper, and 1/4 tsp of smoked paprika. Mix to coat evenly.
Cook in the air fryer: Add the chicken wings to the air fryer and "stand" them up to fit all of them into the air fryer basket. If you're using a smaller than an 8 qt air fryer, do this in 2 batches.
Air fry for 10 minutes, then rotate the chicken wings and stand them up on the opposite side & cook for another 10 minutes or until the chicken wings are ready.
Toss with sauce: Remove the chicken wings to a clean bowl, add 1/2 cup of sweet and sour sauce and toss to coat evenly. Serve immediately.
