The Disappearing Act…

Life| Let the Baking Begin

Well, look who’s here! It’s been a rocky couple of last months here on the blog, with me disappearing for more and more time with each post. My nursing school was partially to blame during the school year, but now halfway through summer break, I can not sit here and tell you that that was the only reason for my disappearing act. Yes we have been enjoying the summer with family, checking out our relative’s new kitty litter,

Life| Let the Baking Begin-2

celebrating my dad’s birthday,

Red Currants| Let the Baking Begin

going red currant picking until we have so much that we have no idea what else we can do with it, AND giving the blog a major facelift. Actually more of a face transplant than a lift, but you get the idea. Hopefully, now things are better looking, easier to search for and visually more appealing. This has been in the works for a long, long time, but finally, the results are here for you to enjoy, thanks to Cre8d Design team that has been super patient, professional and very, very good at what they do.

Personal Update | Let the Baking Begin

The Real Reason…

Aside from all of those other things, there has been this one other important life event that is the main reason why I am not here as much as I wish to be. Yep. We are expecting!

Couple weeks into the start of my nursing school (back in January, folks), we had a surprise of a lifetime when we found out that our family of 4 will be expanding by one new bundle of joy! It’s been a while since the last time I was pregnant, more than 6 years to be more precise, so this whole morning sickness business that is still reluctant to give up, was a bit of an adjustment to my regular busy, busy routine. Between taking care of my family, studying and trying to stay sane, pregnancy and its manifestations were not exactly easy to fit in. With the morning sickness subsiding, I’m left dealing with extreme tiredness and lack of motivation for anything. This is my third rodeo, so I know the drill, nevertheless complaining about it makes me feel a tad better, haha!

I bet you’re all wondering who will be joining our happy duo of two girls and I will keep it a secret no more. I will be stocking up on hair bows, tutu’s, and shoes because there’s another Princess that will be adorning our family this October! Girl power, all the way!

Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Psalm 127:3-5

We don’t know what lies on a road ahead of us, but we are thankful that this road will include another human being that God has gifted us. Hope you can patiently bear with me, as I await for my precious baby to make it’s grand entrance to the world.

Meanwhile, enjoy the easy to search menu bar to the left to search for recipes and menu ideas.

Be blessed my friends!

P.S. check our the baby pictures HERE.

Love your blog, recipe.

You are so cute with your baby bump!! Awww 🙂 . I’m so excited for you :).

You know I was the same way when I was in nursing school – I took big stretches of leave from my blog because life happened and it was overwhelming. You’re awesome to be doing all that you’re doing! God bless you and your family!
